- AAAAmmmmttttoooocccc generates a tape table of contents (TOC) for an Amanda
- run. It's a perl script, you need to install perl first.
-
- See the _a_m_a_n_d_a(8) man page for more details about Amanda.
-
- OOOOPPPPTTTTIIIIOOOONNNNSSSS
- [ ----cccc ] _c_o_n_f_i_g
- Name of the configuration to process.
-
- ----llll _l_a_b_e_l
- Label of the tape (default: last Amanda run).
-
- ----hhhh _h_o_s_t
- Only process the specified host (default: all hosts).
-
- ----vvvv Be verbose. This output is not really a TOC, but a
- full dump of the database. It may be restricted by the
- ----llll and ----hhhh options.
-
- ----iiii Add an informational text header to the beginning of
- the TOC containing a reminder about how to restore
- files.
-
- ----tttt Use tab rather than spaces between the output fields.
-
- ----ffff Write output to a file rather than standard output.
- The file is named:
-
- _l_o_g_d_i_r/_l_a_b_e_l.toc,
-
- where _l_o_g_d_i_r is the log directory defined in
- amanda.conf, and _l_a_b_e_l is the tape label (any '/'
- characters are converted to '_').
-
- EEEEXXXXAAAAMMMMPPPPLLLLEEEE
- AAAAmmmmttttoooocccc is normally run right after aaaammmmfffflllluuuusssshhhh or aaaammmmdddduuuummmmpppp.

- AAAAmmmmttttoooocccc uses the Amanda database, which only maintains
- information about the last tape used at a given backup
- level. Generating a TOC for the most recent run should be
- OK, but generating one for an older run is usually only
- partially correct.
